Lean Manufacturing Principles for Wood Processing. A collaborative presentation by Sepp Gmeiner of Lignum Consulting and Brad Cairns, Centre for Lean Learning. Learn how the Toyota Production System can reduce waste, increase throughput reduce lead times, and what you need to do to get started! Find out how these Lean Manufacturing Principles can be applied to your woodworking processes, and how to engage continuous improvement.

Increasing Sales: Strategies with Marketing and Branding. We all need to keep sales coming in, and also continuously assessing how we are doing it! Andrew Wall of Sandler Training will provide an interactive and informative presentation on how successful companies are working “on” their businesses, while keeping ahead of the curve of engaging new customers. How do you effectively manage both? How can you leverage your employees, your networks, and other mediums? Come with your questions and get ready to start critically assessing how you are going to continue to grow your business!

Plus! Learn about the new Anti-tipping By-laws and how they could impact your products. Keeping you up-to-date with new regulations, Sadoon Mohiuddin of Canmade will review the new Anti-tipping by-laws. He will explain the by-laws (F2057 and F3096) Government of Canada is implementing for the home furniture industry. Find out more about these new rules, the problem they will create and the solution.
