This year’s June Networking Event was hosted in Guelph at Linamar’s Frank Hasenfratz Centre for Excellence in Manufacturing. Additionally, the WMCO continues to make our member events accessible via a hybrid model of in-person and online (live-streamed). The Guelph Venue also offered an opportunity for members of a tour of the 88,000 sq. ft. facility after the networking event. Earlier this year, the WMCO featured a virtual plant tour of Diamond CNC’s previous location, Brantford ON. There, the company showcased their product flow and how the business has evolved over the years. March 31st the WMCO hosted it’s first in-person networking event since the pandemic of 2020. The event brought forth a strong attendance and helped those who attended online feel part of the group as both presenters and guests shared in the hybrid (online/in-person) experience. The Province of Ontario’s restrictions are being lifted, and the long awaited in-person events are coming back. This time, the WMCO delivered it’s Lean Road Map Training with Quantum Lean Managing Partner, Brad Cairns on March 3rd, 2022 at Earthscape Play in Wallenstein ON. Recently the WMCO hosted an interactive Virtual Networking Event with breakout groups and a keynote featuring an Economic Update & Outlook by CME's Chief Economist Alan Arcand. WMCO hosted the event on the interactive platform Wonder, which allowed guests to move around the virtual space, networking with everyone freely.
