BWA HEALTH AND SAFETY & THE LAW

Developed for Employers, Supervisors, and Health & Safety Representatives (both certified and non-certified).

Help enable them to effectively exercise the powers and perform the duties of a Health & Safety representative.

Those who take this training will receive a certificate of accomplishment and an auditable record of training for the company records, proving the employer, supervisor, or safety rep has received training in the required elements.

Ensure your team has the right tools and training to help minimize risk and identify the hazards and potentials for harm in the workplace. Safety in the workplace is an important responsibility shared by both employers and employees. This one-day training event focuses on the fundamental principles of Workplace Health and Safety & the Law.

Training Content Includes:

  • Understanding the Occupational Health & Safety Act and why Health & Safety is so important
  • Roles & Responsibilities and the Internal Responsibility System
  • Responsibilities of a Supervisor as well as that of a Health and Safety Representative
  • Recognition, Assessment, Controls, and Evaluation
  • Includes a copy of the OHSA book, also known as the “Little Green Book.”
  • Identifying Hazards in the workplace
  • Workplace Inspection Basics
  • Accident / Incident Investigation Essentials

Walk away with the right tools to engage in your companies Health and Safety team, along with a certificate of accomplishment and a record of training. If you are an Employer, Supervisor, or Health & Safety representative, then this BWA workshop is for you!
