The next quarterly networking event will be hosted at Conestoga College! This is the only place our industry networks at this level! In addition to the networking and the industry, connections spend the afternoon learning how to improve and grow your business. The day concludes with a tour of Conestoga’s woodworking shop where you can see for yourself where our future craftspeople are training.

The themes this quarter include:

  1. CNC Transformation in your Business Process: Adoption, Utilization, and Optimization. This interactive session will address shops that currently have CNC’s, and most importantly for non-CNC shops considering the investment.
    For those considering CNC
: What is the potential of CNC? How can it transform your manufacturing process? What are the implications for other aspects of your business? How can your people, material, and quality be impacted?
For those companies who have CNC technology:
Utilization:  You have a CNC, but are you using it to its full capability? Are you aware of its capability? Do you walk past it every day and wonder how to get its full potential?
Optimization.  Your CNC may be running around the clock, but there may be many different ways in which you could make it do the same work more effectively.
BWA CNC expert members Loren Burns of Precision Woodcraft, Grant Nicholson of Upper Canada Stretchers, and Ethan Vos of Cutting Edge CNC will share each of their unique perspectives on CNC and what it can do for your business.
  2. Benefit Industry Trends and Analysis: What to know in today’s benefit marketplace. Where are costs and experience volumes trending in the current benefits industry? What is the impact of these trends on your costs, and quality of benefits you can offer employees? What are the best benefits to offer employees?
