Ministry of Labour: Friend or Foe?
Many BWA members have experienced surprise visits from the MOL with mixed feelings. While we all want to ensure the health and safety for our employees, it can’t hurt to build better bridges between BWA members and the MOL who is focused on safety. Ron Landry, Provincial Coordinator at the Ministry of Labour’s Industrial Health and Safety Program will share with the BWA:

  • Types of common injuries specific to our industry,
  • MOL current and future blitz trends
  • Steps you can take to appeal an order given by the MOL

After his presentation, Ron will answer questions and listen to concerns and experiences you have had with the MOL. Rob Halverson from Quinn Global will share a case study of an off-gassing solution as a result of a MOL order. Bring along someone from your HR department or safety committee and engage with the MOL on neutral ground!

Digital Marketing Strategies for Wood Manufacturing Companies. The digital world has created new opportunities for BWA members to promote their products and capabilities to potential and current customers. The challenge is there are many moving parts, and they need to work together for your company’s digital marketing strategy to be effective. Chris Herbert, Managing Partner at Mi6 Agency and Reema Duggal, President, The Sitaran Group will share:

  • A digital marketing roadmap for successfully harnessing tools for your business.
  • Share new insights and trends to be aware of for those already engaged in digital marketing.
