The next quarterly networking event will be held at the Walkerton Clean Water Centre – the heart of the Bluewater Wood Alliance in Walkerton ON.

This is the only place the wood industry networks at this level in Ontario! Come to meet others in the industry, and grow your industry contacts! In addition to the networking and the industry connections, you will make, learn how to improve and grow your business.

The themes this quarter include:

1. Leadership Development in Wood Products Manufacturing: All BWA members struggle to identify and develop leaders in their business, particularly the shop floor and production areas.

How do you take your business performance to the next level? You do it by improving the leadership ability of your team.

  • Learn how the most successful leaders differ from the average.
  • Understand the power of setting goals the right way.
  • Take control of your time, your habits, and your attitude.

Join us as Barry Reid of LMI Canada shares with BWA members some key concepts to consider when leading and developing leaders in your organization.

2. Legal Update/Succession Planning: Many BWA member companies are family owned/run businesses. Succession planning helps to pave the way for continued business success.

Jill Sampson of The Alliance Lawyers will provide an overview of Succession Planning considerations when considering how to manage future steps for your company. Followed by a legal update to employment law and due diligence for BWA members with case studies. Come prepared with your questions and concerns.

3. Most Important – Networking: We create plenty of opportunities to network and connect with industry partners! Make new connections, and meet with old ones! Your current and future customers and suppliers are here. So much B2B takes place it’s hard to measure!

4. BWA Initiatives: Come to make sure you are up to speed on all of the opportunities with your BWA membership!

This is a value-packed event you won’t want to miss! Confirm your attendance now! This event is open to non-members, sign up to learn first hand what we are about.

Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held ahead of the QNE and begins at 12:00 PM
